Varga Chart : Trimsamsa D30

 Varga Chart : Trimsamsa D30

Trimshamsha (D30) Varga Chart is one of the sixteen main vargas (divisions of a sign) described by Maharshi Parasara.

Trimsamsa means 30th division and by expunging the multiple of 12, we arrive at 6 (30-12*2 ), which is the house of diseases, servants/ service, enemies and litigation (troubles we face in this world due to external circumstances). Parasara states its primarily for suffering or misery for any person. Like Evils, Disease, bad luck of the person, due to self, family ( children, brother/sisters) , assets (home, car, loans), foreign Lands, enmity, people surrounded by, purva doshas, purva karma is to be judged from the Trimshamsha occupied by planets.

Every varga chart have certain purpose to read detailed level. Trimshamsha not only talk about parents, it’s mainly about say more on 6th house. It also indicates disease with father, mother, how you care them, luck, badluck, doshas, purva papa, mostly how we take care of parents, relationship we can predict.

Trimshamsha means the one-thirtieth portion of a sign measuring one degree. Unlike other divisions, only five planets Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn own the Trimshamsha the Sun, Moon, Nodes (Rahu & Ketu)  do not own any Trimshamsha or play any role in Trimshamsha

The strength of the divisional lord in Rashi will determine the strength of the divisional. It is preferable that the lagna lords of vargas (eg. D30) is weak in Rashi Remember that the lagna in divisional represents the native in relation to the significations of the respective divisional charts. The lord's aspect on the Ascendant also strengthens the divisional.

According to Maharshi Parashara, they represent the five elemental states of existence (see table 1).

Degrees     Ruled by in Odd Signs Deity Degrees     Ruled by in Even Signs Deity

0° to 5°     Mars (Aries)                 Agni 0° to 5°     Venus (Taurus)                 Varuna

5° to 10°     Saturn (Aquarius)         Vayu 5° to 12°     Mercury (Virgo)                 Kubera

10° to 18°    Jupiter (Sagittarius)         Indra 12° to 20°    Jupiter (Pisces)                 Indra

18° to 25°    Mercury (Gemini)         Kubera 20° to 25°    Saturn (Capricorn)         Vayu

25° to 30°    Venus (Libra)                 Varuna 25° to 30°    Mars (Scorpio)                 Agni

The positions of the planets and the Lagna in the Rashi chart are used to determine the Trimshamsha occupied by them. For example, if Jupiter is in 27-09′ in Pisces, then since it is in an even sign, from Table 2, we see that it is in Scorpio (even sign ruled by Mars). In this manner, the Trimshamsha of all the planets and Lagna is determined and the resultant chart is called the Trimshamsha or D-30 Chart.

Word of Caution: Reading Trimshamsha (it has to be read only to analyse the ongoing miseries / misfortune) not to forecast.

Conclusion

Examining divisional charts are essential to do a detailed analysis in all aspects of a native’s life. Whilst the Rashi chart may show the level of potential manifestation; and the Navamsha the trigger of that potential; the division reveal in which exact areas these aspects of native’s life take place.

For example, the 6th house, its lord and karakas can reveal many potential indicators, but it is their placement in the D30 chart that will separate the 6th house aspect of health from other indicators such as debts, bodily illness, Minor accidents.

Personally, I examine specifics in the division (i.e. relevant karaka and bhavas) and then look back at the Rashi (& Navamsha) for the level of manifestation based on angular positions, associations, aspect etc... I give priority to the factors verifying harmony by looking at relevant houses in relevant harmonic as well as relational (PAC) and general positions from the relevant karaka.

Divisional Chart - Dashamsha (D10)

The 10th house – House of Action/ Social Status/Fame /Authority/Career/ Honours   The very general understanding about this house is that it deals with your Job and your capacity to earn, I would say “NO”, Job as a mere service and vocation are handled by 6th house and income is handled by 2nd, 9th and 11th house, 6th house gives us the basic opportunity to work or gain some job and earn like most people do, and most of them remain in that status for most of their lives, because most of them have an empty 10th house, or a weak 10th house, with one Graha / planet which might also be very weak or ordinary in its disposition, so what makes this 10th house so special, this house/house is house of action, it tells us how a native would act in the society, how his actions are reflected by the society, what kind of reputation he/she will carry with respect to the society, and what kind of fame / honors /awards those actions would bring to the native, and how strong ...
